Visits to th
e workplace are an integral part of occupational medicine practice. Such visits facilitate discussions with managers and supervisors and help our doctors gain an understanding of the work environment.
Dr Sharman visits workplaces to assess the work environment an
d provide advice on management of rehabilitation programmes and workplace risks.
Assessments of the workplace can be conducted as a ‘stand-alone’ assessment requested by a doctor, employer or insurer or as an integral part of providing a safe and meaningful return to work programme for an injured employee under the care of our doctors.
Workplace assessments are billed at the same hourly rate as Fitness for Work Assessments, except when conducted in the course of injury treatment, where the relevant Item No will be applied.
