WorkFit Tasmania, Gilbert Consulting Tasmania & Hobart Occupational Medicine, the Tasmanian specialist physician practices of Dr Andreas Ernst, Dr Barry Gilbert & Dr Peter Sharman are supporting the training of local doctors in occupational & environmental medicine within their practices to enable those doctors to achieve their Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (FAFOEM).

In the absence of any significant government support or hospital-based training positions, the practices are seeking funded training roles with employer organisations so that trainees have a variety of experience under the supervision of experienced occupational physicians to the mutual benefit of the trainees and the employer.
