Dr Crowell is not currently available for consultation at Hobart Occupational Medice as he is working full-time in General Practice to complete his specialist GP qualifications.
Dr Sharman has limited availability of new patient appointments for GP-referred patients, particularly where ongoing management and review is necessary. Dr McArdle has some capacity to accept referrals for “one-off” assessments, but limited capacity for patients requiring ongoing management and review.
Dr Sharman and Dr McArdle will give priority to patients referred by their general practitioner where:
- The patient’s clinical problem is within the scope of occupational medicine practice; and
- The patient is at significant risk of deterioration in their health status and/or:
- There is specialist medical support for the need for occupational medicine input.
We ask that referring GP’s send through a written referral for consideration by our doctors. If the situation is urgent we encourage the referring doctor to ring and discuss the situation with Dr Sharman and agree the best means of managing the situation.
