AFOEM ACCREDITED TRAINING, DR CROWELL & REVISED FEES

I am pleased to advise that this practice has been accredited as a training practice by the Australasian Faculty of Occupational & Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) within the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

Dr Troy Crowell has been accepted as an advanced (Stage B) trainee by AFOEM and will commence part-time employment at Hobart Occupational Medicine during January with the objective of achieving his AFOEM Fellowship (FAFOEM) and be able to work as a Consultant Occupational & Environmental Physician (OEP), once qualified.

Dr Crowell’s initial role, as Registrar – Occupational & Environmental Medicine, will focus on assisting Dr Sharman with the assessment and ongoing management of referred patients from General Practice.

To provide the necessary infrastructure, supervision and training within the practice it has been necessary to apply a “one-off” 7% increase in fees charged by Dr Sharman and Dr McArdle.
